Some history
Mr. Joseph Viollet began the activity of religious jewellery in 1866, continued by his son-in-law Mr. Marius Cabut in 1890. He had the factory built in 1900. They manufactured crosses known as "good death" out of brass and copper nickel zinc alloy encrusted with rosewood or ebony.
In 1919, Mr. Joseph Bancel bought the factory and modernized it. he created many models: crosses of apartment, silver crosses for religious orders. the plastic imitating mother-of-pearl and colors. In 1961, his son Marius Bancel took again the activity while adding to it many models, as well as modern Christs.
Since 1986, Jean Marc Bancel has manufactured religious objects, but the economic situation obliged the company to be diversified.
Today many non-ferrous metal parts leave the workshops and are intended for various sectors
